Morgana and Oz – Plot Summary
The Morgana and Oz webtoon opens with the Winterberry household—a well-known family of witches—preparing for an important dinner meeting in their vacation home. They have arranged to meet with a family of vampires, the Red Vampire Clan, whom they have a bad history with.
The oldest daughter, Morgana, is late to the little “party” as she struggles with her magic, trying to fix an ugly dress her mother wanted her to wear.
While trying to throw out the dress, she runs into Oz, a vampire who was hiding out as back up—in case things went wrong with the meeting inside the house.
Just as they get acquainted, things go haywire inside, with a burst of magic and vampires running to safety. Oz accuses Morgana’s family of setting the vampires up—in a panic, Morgana protects herself with her magic.
Unexpectedly, this magic turns Oz into a cat…and Morgana isn’t sure how to turn him back, especially with the current conflict between their groups.
These two are left with a lot of confusion, not just about how to turn Oz back to normal—but the truth about the bad history between the two sides.

Why I Enjoyed Morgana and Oz
Plot:
While this series is not predominately a romance, who doesn’t love a supernatural story with magic, witches, vampires, and more?
The story is shrouded in mystery, which is slowly unraveled as these characters try to work through the conflict between their groups in their own way. There’s great character development, and overall the story is very engaging, cute, and even a little funny.
In terms of when the romance does occur, it is very natural and light. I love the slow progression of the relationship between the main characters, which begins to develop more as they overcome challenges together and learn more about each other.
The romance isn’t forced, and while it is on the lighter side, it still feels very cute and exciting.
A friendship between the two main characters builds first thanks to a forced proximity sort-of situation, and then a dedicated team is constructed as Morgana and Oz work to uncover the truth of what happened during the meeting.
Characters:
As for the characters, let’s start with the main lead, Morgana! Morgana is a fantastic, optimistic character. Even though she struggles with magic and isn’t super confident, she doesn’t give up. She keeps trying to improve, and doesn’t let anything cloud her judgement.
Morgana often makes her own decisions, and develops her opinion of others based on her own experiences. She gives Oz a chance, and doesn’t assume bad things about anyone she meets—vampire or not.
This may be considered by some as being gullible, but I feel like it is more of a kind and good-hearted personality trait instead.
Next we have Oz. Oz seems to have his guard up at first, understandably due to the history the vampires have had with the witches, and the uncertainty that is associated with magic.
However, as he is forced to see Morgana’s goodwill and selfless personality, the guard is lowered and his true side is revealed.
Oz is a gentlemanly vampire who seems to realize Morgana is not what he imagined a witch to be like. He’s a “short king” who easily captures the hearts of readers with his open-book expressions and smooth talk.
There are many other characters in this series that we see a bit less often than these main two, such as Morgana’s family or Oz’s fellow vampires.
Although these characters get less screen-time, they have big personalities and cute designs that shine through easily, even if they aren’t the main focus of this story. They are all fantastic!
Art:
The art style of Morgana and Oz is very cute. It often feels very magical and whimsical! I love the character designs and colorfulness of this series—it’s very lovely.
The character designs are just super cute, too. Morgana is a lovely young lady with very fitting witchy clothes that feel a bit classy, despite her clumsiness. Oz has a sort of bad-boy look that hides his inner kindness. He’s a sweetheart, and we get to see him as a cat for a little bit, which was very silly and fun.

Any Cons?
My only con for this series is that I’m afraid it’ll be shorter than I was hoping—I haven’t had enough of the romance yet!
Final Thoughts
Overall, Morgana and Oz is a lovely and fantastical series with a cute, light romance and lots of fun supernatural elements. I’ve also really enjoyed the cute art style and lovely character designs for this webcomic.
As for the story, I love the mystery in this series and the slow unraveling of the plot and character backgrounds. It has been very fun trying to make predictions alongside other webtoon commenters!
I’m excited to see how Morgana and Oz further their relationship and solve the truth of what happened to the people around them!
